Falten und Konturen

Sooner or later wrinkles, fine lines and a loss of contour arise on our skin. Internal and external factors are responsible for this development. External factors such as UV-light, smoking, incorrect skin care may influence the state of the skin. As for the internal factors, age and genetics play an important role: the subcutaneous layers diminish, the skin becomes less flexible and thinner.
We will advise you how these changes can be improved and the prevention of premature ageing can be achieved. Depending on the nature and severity of the skin changes that bother you, different therapeutic methods are considered.
They include local therapy with
Cosmeceuticals, temporary or long lasting wrinkle correction with other methods. The procedures are individualized and adjusted according to the reason and type of wrinkling. Combined procedures and a step by step approach are often appropriate.

Treatment of Wrinkles and Contour-loss

Botox: Mimic wrinkles (crow's feet, laugh lines, frown lines forehead wrinkles, wrinkles in the perioral region, chin or neck are best treated with Botox . The use of Botox is the most successful treatment of mimic wrinkles because it will treat the cause of these wrinkles: the hyperactive muscle contraction.

Fillers: As a rule we only use well-tolerated, biodegradable hyaluronic-acid Fillers. We believe that permanent fillers are conceptually wrong and they maybe medically problematic. Hyaluronic-acid fillers are used for the correction of static wrinkling, contour-defects and atrophic scars. They are injected either with the help of a needle or a canula into different layers of the skin, whereby the level of tissue is instantly raised. Hyaluronic-acid is the main natural constituent of our connective tissue. It is a non-allergenic, well-tolerated, non-animal filler which is degraded into water. We have a wide-ranging experience with hyaluronic-acid fillers.

Peelings: Peelings are widespread procedures and are used both in at-home and in-office treatments. Depending on the depth of the peel their effect is different: superficial and medium-depth peels have no lasting effect on wrinkles. Their effect is often overestimated. Typically they are serial treatments which have to be repeated. On the other hand deep peelings, e.g. with phenol have a dramatic and lasting effect on wrinkles.

Laser-treatments: Various types of laser treatments can improve wrinkles permanently. They include traditional skinresurfacings, fractional laser treatments or a combination of the two. Both use infrared light to stimulate collagen neoformation, thus leading to improvement of wrinkles.

Hyaluronic acid: wrinkles and atrophic scars are not only treated symptomatically: it has been known for some time that collagen tissue is stimulated by hyaluronic acid. Also, a new injection technique results in an even better outcome.
