Deep Peels

What is a deep peel?

A deep peeling is a process in which deeper layers of the skin are peeled off.

The effects of this peel reach from improvement of texture, look, touch and pigmentation of the skin to the treatment of all types of wrinkles and atrophic scars.

Phenol peelings have been used for a long time and are well-established treatments for improving even heavy wrinkling of the facial skin. A phenol peel is a one-time procedure.

Exopeel^® is a standardised, deep phenol peeling which is often far superior to laser skin resurfacings, dermabrasion and fractionated laser therapies.

Peeling is an outpatient treatment, using local anaesthesia or sedation anaesthesia. After the peel, the skin is completely covered with a skin plaster which can be removed after 24 hrs. For another 6 days, the skin should be covered with talcum. During this time a completely new skin builds up. The redness may last one week or perhaps a bit longer and can be covered with make-up.

The effects of a phenol peel are truly amazing. It can be repeated, if necessary, after about 10 years.
