Remeins from dirt or tarmac after accidents, abrasion of skin, firekwork often are amenable to laser removal. Typically a series of treatments in two-monthly intervals are needed.

Ideally laser treatment is started as soon as possible. If the skin is still "open" the foreign body parts can be eliminated directly. Once the skin is healded over the wound the elimination is slower and has to find its way through the lymph nodes. It is possible, however, to eliminate pigment particles in older wounds in the same way.

Laser-light is absorbed by the pigment- or dirt-particles, transformed into heat which in turn breaks up the particles into dust, which can be transported into the lymphnodes by specialised cells of our skin, so called macraphages.
Typically insucrance will pay for this kind of treatment.
